We hope you're excited for your upcoming EV charger installation coming up on 05/15/2026! Most installations take between two and four hours, and your electrician will give you a courtesy call prior to their arrival.

A few friendly reminders as you prepare for installation day:

• Clear the installation area: Prior to your installation, please clear a five-foot area around your electrical panel to allow for sufficient working space.
• Prepare for a brief electrical outage: During the installation, there will be a brief power outage, which can range from two to six hours depending on the complexity of your installation. In most cases your power will only be out for 2 hours, but your electrician will inform you if it will be longer.
• Have your EV on site: Please have your vehicle onsite, if possible, which will allow us to test your charger. We can still install your charger if you're unable to have your car present.
• [For smart chargers] Wi-Fi credentials accessible: Once on site, our electrician will request your wifi password in order to connect your charger for commissioning. To ensure your system functions properly, a strong 2.4 GHz WiFi signal is required at the installation location. Garages and basements often have weaker coverage, so we recommend checking your signal strength in advance and installing a WiFi extender if needed. Note: These devices are typically not compatible with 5G-only networks.

Once installation is complete, we will email you an invoice to pay your bill online via ACH (bank transfer), which you selected when signing your contract. If you'd like to pay by credit card instead, let us know so we can adjust your invoice accordingly.

Treehouse will also work with you and your city to schedule an electrical inspection. This is required to finalize your permit. Treehouse will supply the permit documents required for the inspection.
